We have a new Boss

We have a New BOSS

After starting GBGW in 2010 and being the BOSS since then, I think the time has come for me to vacate the BOSS‘s chair and make way for a new chief.

A totally loyal and devoted supporter of GBGW as both an organiser and an apprentice project manager I’m more than delighted that Sue Hughes has accepted the challenge of taking GBGW into its next phase. Full of top ideas and oodles of energy Sue is ready and raring to go with your help and support to take GBGW to new record-breaking heights.

I’ll still be around in the background ready to have my brains picked when necessary and helping out with some ‘special developments’ so you’re not rid of me completely!

As you know we’ve asked if anyone can help out with some of the very, very many tasks the backroom team undertake. Please, if you can help with any of the jobs Sue needs to hear from you. 30 minutes a week, 30 hours a week or every hour of every day if you so wish we can find a job for you to do to help spread the chores.

I’ve so enjoyed GBGW – seeing it grow from our first nerve-racking year, waiting for the walk results to come in and not knowing if this bird brain idea would succeed and catch on, to seeing the amazing response as the years have passed and it becoming a ‘fixture’ on the greyhound and sighthound calendar both here and now worldwide!

I know Sue loves the project as much as me and she will make it super stupendous in 2016 and beyond.
