By registering a ‘Little Local Walk’ charities are able to participate in the Great Global Greyhound Walk by walking their kennel dogs in the safe, easy, manageable, surroundings of their own premises. No traveling or major time limits – just register, count the hounds you walk around your paddock(s) on the morning of 9th June and let us know your numbers.
We are welcoming, supporting and hoping for lots of charities to join in this year.
The Great Global Greyhound Walk is known to find homes for hounds so if you’ve never joined in before you may be missing out on a big opportunity to find homes for your dogs.
From feedback in previous years we know that you may have found it hard to get involved in the Great Global Greyhound Walk – lack of time, lack of staff to walk the dogs etc – however this need not be a problem! Most charities have limited staff/volunteers but we are happy for you to walk the dogs in relay, just as you would any other day.
Or how about making it part of an Open Day? – welcome volunteers in to walk the dogs, make it a fundraiser, contact the press for some publicity…
