Unfortunately the Stratford on Avon walk has had to be cancelled.
We are very sorry but there have been reports that three dogs have died and several others are seriously ill after walking near/ on the race course, Greenway and by the river. Several vets have confirmed that there is a problem, though there does not appear to have been any local press coverage. We need to put the safety of the dogs first so the decision has been made to avoid the area. There are other walks going on around the Midlands – Coventry, Bromsgrove, Rubery, Worcester and Malvern Hills – all the details are on the Walks list.
Please pass on this information to anyone you know who is planning to attend and to anyone who walks dogs in that area.
