Meeting pointMeet outside the Floral Pavilion in New Brighton and head along the promenade passing Vale Park. Turn around at the Ferry pub. This is a promenade walk alongside the River Mersey heading towards the Ferry Pub which is dog friendly with plenty of outdoor seating. There are benches along the promenade for breaks and a cycle path runs parallel along with the River Mersey so it would be important to keep hounds on leads for safety purposes and to respect others. Please bring water for your hounds in case it's a hot day as shade is limited. The total walk is nearly 3.4 miles (total walk time 1 hour 6 minutes on Google Maps) to the Ferry pub and back. Please bear this in mind if your hound is not used to long walks as you may decide to join the group at a different point. There is ample free parking near by.
